Trump's Iran Deal. President Trump's Iran agreement is raising questions about its nature as a deal. Trump has signaled he could send details of the Iran deal to Congress. He insists the U.S. will not invest money in Iran as part of the peace deal. Republicans are left defending the mystery Iran deal.
Education Department Changes. Trump is taking special education and civil rights oversight away from the Education Department. This move breaks up the department and prompts worries over civil rights. Indiana has become the latest state to receive flexibility from Trump on federal education spending.
Justice Department Actions. The Justice Department has unsealed new charges against a National Guard shooting suspect. Separately, the DOJ has charged 15 people it says impeded agents during a Minnesota immigration crackdown. An FBI disruption of a planned attack on the White House UFC cage-fighting show was also reported in court papers.
Attorney General Nomination. Senator Cornyn remains non-committal on Todd Blanche's confirmation as attorney general after a meeting. Blanche earned an attorney general bid endorsement from a law enforcement alliance ahead of his confirmation. The Senate will consider his nomination.
